Local Alpharetta Physician, Dr. Jason T. Hayes, will be a challenger for the Georgia House of Representatives District 49 seat in the upcoming 2020 election cycle.
Coming from humble beginnings, Dr. Hayes understands how the voice of a community, in dire need, can be muffled in the world without competent representation.
From his early experiences as a peer elected student representative in the 1994 Louisiana Boys State Program to his work as a Congressional Intern with honorable Jim Cooper of Tennessee, Dr. Hayes had instilled in him early that servant leadership is for the American people, especially for the disenfranchised, and you serve as their voice.
Servant leadership continued to be the mantra for Dr. Hayes during his medical school training and early career. Whether at Meharry Medical College, Baylor College of Medicine or with the National Health Service Corp, this young doctor cherished the opportunity to provide compassionate care to the most underserved communities in the nation.
With these experiences, Dr. Hayes learned how compassionate healthcare can translate into public service and how both are vehicles for community representation.
With his hat in the proverbial ring, Dr. Hayes will address many issues during his campaign. However, the 4 major platform issues are in the following: healthcare, education, infrastructure with an emphasis on transportation and small business advocacy.
In summary, Dr. Hayes believes Georgia House of Representatives District 49 needs a new voice to represent its constituents. With servant leadership as the mantra, Dr. Hayes believes the constituents of Georgia HR District 49 will spark the very political reform needed to make not only our district better but the state of Georgia. This betterment will not be for a few but for “all” people regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability or socioeconomic status.
